Meet Mr. and Mrs. Vickers! Gianna and Dennis, who met while they students at Miami University in Oxford, OH, were blessed with sunshine and blue skies for their Amalfi Coast-inspired wedding held at her aunt’s beautiful home on the banks of the Shrewsbury River in Rumson.

It was a celebration brimming with love and laughter, exactly as a wedding should be! Surrounded by their cherished friends and family they exchanged their vows along the picturesque Shrewsbury River. The ceremony was officiated by a close family friend and was a deeply personal and touching moment. Following the nuptials, guests enjoyed cocktail hour by the riverside, basking in the glow of the setting sun.

Echoes of the Amalfi: A Garden Party Wedding in Rumson

Their Amalfi Coast-inspired wedding along the picturesque Shrewsbury River was an absolute joy to photograph. The vibrant blend of blue and yellow hues and the zesty lemons set the tone for Gianna and Dennis’s wedding day. The majolica tile designs on the wedding cake by The Vintage Cake added such a unique touch, transporting everyone to the heart of Italy. Thanks to Mo Talent Live the dance floor remained alive with energy throughout the evening, a testament to the love and happiness that filled the air.

As a Rumson wedding photographer, I adore staying connected with my couples. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Dakota, Donnie, and their children, Cash and Ranger, at their home Scothigh Farm. Capturing these moments in such a meaningful setting brings me joy, especially when I photographed their wedding at the same place almost 14 years ago. Such a beautiful wedding!

SCOTHIGH FARM

Originally known as Applewynd, for its apple orchard, Scothigh Farm was built in 1926 as a summer home by Isabella and Manton B. Metcalf Jr., who made a fortune in the textile industry. The mansion, an 11,000-square-foot Colonial revival-style home sits on a 30-acre estate. It remains the largest privately owned residence in Rumson.

In the library of the home, in an area once covered by an Oriental rug, a trapdoor leads to a hidden liquor vault. When Isabella Metcalf died in 1993, the family opened the vault and found boxes of Cuban cigars and cases of wine, port and Scotch, including a bottle of port from the coronation of King George V. The Metcalfs poured many of their drinks in their spacious dining room, where a bar was cut into a wood-paneled wall. Sources:Could That Be Jay Gatsby Over at the Bar?

SHANNON & BLAIR | NAVESINK COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING

Navesink Country Club Intimate Micro Wedding

Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High school sweethearts Shannon and Blair had planned on a big, 200 guests wedding at the Navesink Country Club last September. Their plans changed with the COVID19 pandemic, and they instead ended up having a lovely 12-person intimate wedding with their families. It wasn’t what they originally planned, but it was truly perfect!

What I loved most about them is that they refused to let anything get in the way of them celebrating their love and starting their lives together because at the end of the day, it was about their love and nothing else. Thank you so much to Shannon and Blair for being so gracious throughout the entire process! It was an honor to be there to capture these moments for you, your family, and friends who couldn’t be there in person!

Shannon and Blair’s wedding was full of beauty, love with a touch of silliness. I’m so happy I was available to capture these special moments for the two of them with the assistance of Victor Macaluso. Congratulations and cheers to the Potters!

KATHLEEN & WYATT | INTIMATE BACKYARD RUMSON WEDDING

Intimate Rumson Wedding

Woohoo-Kathleen and Wyatt are married! The virus may have postponed their original wedding plans but it did NOT keep them from tying the knot and saying “I do!” in an intimate backyard wedding celebration at his childhood home along the Navesink River in Rumson, New Jersey. Watching Wyatt marry the love of his life, on what would have been his dad’s 71st birthday, was so incredibly beautiful. I can’t wait to celebrate with them next July at The Greenbrier. Congratulations Kathleen and Wyatt! ❤
